Privacy Notice

Draft for review — last updated November 2026

Who we are

CHARLI is an invitation-only private social society operated by its membership organizers (“CHARLI”, “we”, “us”). Correspondence is handled through the society’s designated contact channel at askforcharli.com. We deliberately keep our digital footprint minimal.

What we collect

If you choose to respond to an invitation, we collect only what you write to us:

The names of both partners, your city and state, a mailing address you designate for discreet correspondence, and the answers you provide in the expression-of-interest form. We also record anonymous visit counts for each invitation link — no names, no tracking profiles.

We do not request photographs, identity documents, financial records, or intimate histories, and we do not use advertising trackers, cross-site profiling, or browser fingerprinting.

Why we use it

Your information is used solely to consider your expression of interest and to correspond with you privately — ordinarily by post. We never publish applicant details, maintain public guest lists, or sell or share your information with marketers.

Where it is stored

Information is stored in a secured, access-controlled database operated by our cloud hosting provider. Access is limited to the small number of organizers who review expressions of interest.

How long we keep it

We retain submissions only as long as they remain relevant to an ongoing conversation or membership consideration. You may ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so promptly, except where the law requires otherwise.

Your choices

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to us through the contact channel at askforcharli.com.

Legal disclosures

We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process. Beyond that, discretion is the default.

Changes

If this notice changes, the revised version will appear here. Continued use of the site after a change signifies acceptance of the revised notice.
